Community workshop designed by the artist in partnership with Ollin Calli, a transnational labor rights collective based in Tijuana; and Promotoras por el bienestar de la comunidad in the Reforma area of Tijuana. Participants to the workshop had factory labor experience and were invited to develop an improvisational drawing in the artist’s style. Time in the workshop included discussions on the intersection of gender, border identity, and economic interdependence. A situated ethnographic study by the artist is available here. The project was support by a Gracia Robles COMEXUS Fulbright Research Award for Installation Art.
